Wildwood Recreational Village was planned, developed and constructed in the late 1970’s and early 1980’s in four separate filings in Park County, Colorado.
Located in the South Park Area, 10 miles NE of Hartsel, 26 miles from Fairplay; it encompasses over 3500 acres, ranging from low lying hills and valleys covered with thick aspen and pine, to open rolling plains. The east is bordered by the beautiful Pike National Forest, with Tarryall Reservoir about 12 miles to the north and the South Platte River, Elevenmile Canyon, Spinney Mountain and Antero Reservoirs 15 to 20 miles to the south that boast some of the best fishing in the world.

Fire Adapted Bailey is coordinating a community group purchase of verbenone pheromone packets—a cost‑effective, non‑toxic tool for protecting your pine trees from mountain pine beetle. By ordering together, we’re able to secure reduced pricing based on total volume.
What Verbenone Is (and Isn't)
Verbenone is not a pesticide. It’s a naturally occurring scent signal used by mountain pine beetles. When a tree becomes overcrowded, it releases verbenone as a “no vacancy” message, telling additional beetles to move on. By hanging verbenone packets on your trees, you’re creating that same invisible “keep moving” signal around your property—without chemicals or harm to wildlife.
Packet Packaging
Manufacturers sell verbenone packets only in groups of 10, so all orders must be placed in 10‑packet increments.

· How and when to install the packets for maximum effectiveness
· How to store packets properly so they remain potent until deployment
Order Deadline
To ensure delivery before this year’s beetle flight, orders will close on May 15, 2026. Please place your order before this date so your packets arrive in time for installation.
Pickup Details
All packets will be pre‑paid at the time of ordering. When the group shipment arrives, you’ll receive an email notification with the exact pickup location, dates, and times for your fire protection district.
